Jouman Fattal (born 1992) is a celebrated Syrian-Dutch actress, writer, and director. Her selection was a clear move to bring a more youthful emotionally intelligent and diverse energy to the series. Unlike the “classic professor” style of Jan Meng, Fattal brings a background in modern theatre and television. She has become a popular voice for epic Dutch audio, having also narrated the latest editions of the Harry Potter series.

This reading represents a significant modern milestone for Dutch Tolkien fans.
