An independent labour of love production produced just a few years before the publisher finally stepped in with the first official reading in 2024 by Massimo Popolizio. Quagliuolo used the original Alliata/Principe translation, recording this version in 2022 – just before the new Ottavio Fatica translation was released. Thus it also serves as an interesting counter-point to the 2024 reading, allowing Italian listeners to choose their preferred translation.

The project is organized into five parts on his YouTube channel:
