Patryk Trzcionka is a voice actor well known in the Upper Silesian community and this is first-ever audiobook recorded entirely in Silesian. Because Silesian has its own grammatical rules and vocabulary distinct from standard Polish, the names are subtly different. For example, Bilbo Baggins is still Bilbo, but the Shire and various landmarks take on a distinctly “local” Silesian flavour.

The audiobook release was accompanied by cover art and promotional materials by Grzegorz Chudy, an artist known for his “Silesian Middle-earth” watercolours, which place Hobbit holes among the iconic coal mines and red-brick architecture of the region.
