Italy’s Tolkien Audio Productions

Until 2024, Italy lacked any official audio readings and there were only fan-based recordings available, The Hobbit by Edoardo Camponeschi and The Lord of the Rings by Mario Quagliuolo and both of these were based on the original translations.

However, with the advent of two new, revised translations, came finally a pair of officially licensed readings. The Hobbit by Riccardo Ricobello, a well-known figure within the Italian Tolkien community and The Lord of the Rings by Massimo Popolizio.
