Jackanory was a much-loved children’s television series that took the format of a celebrity narrating story to camera in multiple parts. 19985 they adapted Farmer Giles of Ham, featuring actor Freddie Jones as the narrator for a multi-part series that brought J.R.R. Tolkien’s humorous medieval fable to a new generation of viewers.
