Finland’s Tolkien Audio Productions
After a couple of productions in the 1990s, it wasn’t until the 2020s (quite possibly encouraged by news of the impending Amazon TV show) that Finland began to have a good coverage of Tolkien’s works in audio form. This has been divided between Toni Kamula covering Legendarium texts and Markus Bäckman covering the non-Legendarium works. While the Lord of the Rings was re-recorded, Lauri Komulainen’s performance of The Hobbit is so popular that a replacement hasn’t been deemed necessary.
