For Schools was an educational series for younger listeners as distinct from it’s recreational series like Children’s Hour. In 1961 they produced a 4 episode serial abridged by Sam Langdon.

Intended to be listened to by children in the classroom and after each episode the class would be asked to do a follow-up activity (e.g. paint a picture, or write a ‘what happened next’ story).

Sadly there are no known recordings of this series as the BBC did not usually retain recordings at this time and no off-air recordings are known to exist.
